Local Political Calendar for The Week
Hey PunditHouse readers!
There are a lot of events for conservatives in Mecklenburg this week. Figured I’d share my most recent CAUTION newsletter which outlines what you can participate in this week. If you are interested in being added to the CAUTION mailing list, please visit our website at http://proceedwithcaution.us.
If you have other events you’d like to inform people of, feel free to leave them in the comments section!

Please join us at CAUTION tonight as we welcome Paul Passaro, local director of Concerned Veterans for America.
The goal of Concerned Veterans For America is to “translate the experience, concerns, and hopes of our fellow veterans and their families into a common vision of liberty and freedom. We will provide a new and unique perspective on the issues that threaten to cripple not only our economic and national security, but the spirit of opportunity and liberty that we fought to defend and all Americans cherish.”
I know that we have several veterans as regular members of our organization. After hearing from Mr. Passaro, this may be another opportunity to present direct action items to members of CAUTION. In the same vein that we now have a standing committee working with the Voter Integrity Project, with proper support, this could prove to be another solid partnership. Keep this in mind as we learn more at Monday’s meeting.
Action Item!
Speaking of action items, in case you missed it on our Facebook Groups, we discussed last week that a bidder has been selected to move forward with the HOT lane proposal on I-77. It is a plan that continues to make no sense…spending $88 million in taxpayer money and turning over the existing HOV lane to a private company so they can profit on tolls paid by people who will otherwise be forced to sit in the existing general purpose lanes while congestion increases by 2-3% per year. Please contact the members of the Joint Legislative Transportation Oversight Committee and let them know that before a contract is signed with Cintra, that we request the NCDOT evaluate a general purpose lane project. This is the LINK to the Committee.
Upcoming Events:
This is a very busy week folks!
I’ll do the last first because CAUTION will have a table at this event and we need some volunteers to help man it. Please respond to this email if we can count on you to be there and help out.
