The Weekly Activist: It’s Go Time
The Time Has Come!!
Early voting is over and Election Day is TOMORROW!!
As we head for the final lap, there are some positive trends in early voting.
Using Civitas’ Carolina Transparency Vote Tracker system, we can do some comparisons of early voting totals from the same timeframe in 2008.
NC Statewide: Total Turnout was up 114,846. There were 46,928 fewer Democrats voting; 75,232 more Republicans; 82,316 more Unaffiliated; and 4,226 more Libertarians voting.
Mecklenburg County: Total Turnout was up 43,979. While all Party affiliations voted more heavily, as a percentage of turnout the Democrats were down 2.42%, Republicans were up .97%, and Unaffiliated were up 1.28%. Libertarians also enjoyed a 511% increase in their early voting numbers compared to the last Presidential race.
Things are looking good for our conservative candidates, but nothing is set in stone until every ballot is cast! (Hopefully only once..LOL)
Please, get out there and knock on some doors…make a few more phone calls…and volunteer to work a precinct location for your candidate of choice on Tuesday.
CAUTION will still be meeting tonight at the Dilworth Neighborhood Grille from 6:00 until 7:30 (social hour in advance). Come on out and enjoy some friendly conversation and get energized for a full day of poll working on Tuesday!
Also, don’t forget that following CAUTION, just up the road at the Charlotte Scottish Rite Temple (4740 Randolph Road, Charlotte, NC), Yaron Brook, the President of the Ayn Rand Institute, will speak about his new book “Free Market Revolution: How Ayn Rand’s Ideas Can End Big Government”. This free event is open to the public and should be incredibly thought provoking! Click HERE for more information!
It’s almost over folks. We can do this!!
