A “pro-life” “Tea Party leader” “who wants to “restore constitutional government in America”.
Good grief. I can’t determine if that is his press release or a reductive critique.
I won’t be able to attend the Charlotte gathering due to work, but I did hear Brannon speak in person about two years ago. Definitely an uphill battle but the latest PPP poll has his support for Senate higher than Tillis and Berger I believe (although he’s still only at 5%).
I’d like someone from PunditHouse in attendance this Thursday to ask Brannon why about every fourth tweet on his personal twitter page (@Greg_Brannon) is a link to infowars.com? I don’t see how his affinity for infowars.com is going to win him any mainstream GOP support. And he will need mainstream GOP support if he has any chance at winning at statewide race, even against a weak incumbent like Sen. Hagan.
If Mr. Brannon wants to set himself apart from the establishment candidates in this race he’ll need to have more specifics than this mush.
On his website he says, “We must keep our promises to seniors and not change benefits for those who are currently receiving or soon will receive Social Security or Medicare.”
This immediately tells me he is a liar or that he is poorly informed as to our fiscal situation and the COTUS. Until I hear a candidate tell the truth – 1) These programs are unconstitutional, and 2) even if they were, we can’t afford them – I have a hard time getting behind any of them.
