Jason Lewis Back in Charlotte

Mar 2, 2010   //   by Christian Hine   //   Char-Meck Beat, Christian Hine  //  3 Comments

Jason Lewis, former drive time host of Charlotte’s WBT radio and current host on KTLK in Minneopolis when not filling in for Rush Limbaugh, will be in Charlotte on Friday, March 5, for a luncheon honoring SC-5 Congressional candidate Sen. Mick Mulvaney.

The lunch is scheduled for noon at the Greek Isles Restaurant at 200 East Bland Street, Charlotte.  There is no charge to attend, though a $15 lunch will be served.

Mulvaney currently occupies the 16th district Senate seat in South Carolina and is running for Congress against Democrat Rep. John Spratt who has held the seat since 1983.

More information about Mick Mulvaney can be found here

The 5th Congressional district of South Carolina has been increasingly growing in GOP population over the past decade, especially as former Charlotte Republicans relocate to the suburbs of Fort Mill and Indian Land.  Given Spratt’s votes in favor of  “health care reform” and “cap and trade” legislation, the time is certainly ripe for Republicans to have more than a fighting chance in this district.

  • Jason Lewis is one of smartest guys on radio and he is sorely missed. Nothing against the current WBT radio drive time host, but Jason was just irreplaceable.

  • Ya, Jason was great. The fact Rush lets him fill in for him is testament to that. I’ve really liked all the different hosts they’ve had…Spires and Krantz, Lewis, Katz, Tara. They all bring something unique. If you brought them all into the same room, the universe would probably explode though. 🙂

  • Jason Lewis is back on the air in Charlotte, on WBCN 1660 from 6-9PM. I was in Columbia, SC yesterday and could get the signal almost perfectly throughout the entire afternoon, so it may be worth checking out if you live anywhere near Charlotte.

He’s also on the two new ‘Rush Radio’ stations in the Triad and Triangle, to my understanding.
