Jim DeMint Visits NC

Feb 23, 2011   //   by Christian Hine   //   Carolinas, Christian Hine  //  3 Comments

South Carolina Senator Jim DeMint was the guest of the NCGOP on Tuesday, February 22.  He spoke to a crowded room of Republican and Tea Party activists who had gathered from the greater Charlotte area and as far away as New Hanover County.

Preceding the speech by Senator DeMint, representatives from The John Locke Foundation, Heritage Action for America, and Americans for Prosperity were given the opportunity to address the assembly.   State Senator Bob Rucho spoke on behalf of the Republican Caucus.

Introducing DeMint was NCGOP Chairman Robin Hayes, who later took questions and comments from the audience.

PunditHouse captured the Senator’s remarks on camera and presents the sixteen minute speech in it’s entirety over two parts.  Enjoy.

  • That was great! Senator DeMint knows that it was the Grassroots efforts that turned the tide for the GOP. Acknowledging that is HUGE!

  • I was extremely pleased to see how open and honest Senator DeMint is. I would vote for him for President of the US in a heartbeat.

  • I was also impressed with the passion and honesty of NC State Senator Robert Rucho. He spoke from the heart last night in Concord as well.
