With all the government we have it is amazing that anything gets done, but government, that group of leftists/progressives/socialists/fascists/cronycapitalists are trying to shut everything down. He knew that would be the process / end result when he started, Zon. The Senate rules are plain on that. That’s why this was not an official filibuster. His speech was not intended to block the vote; it couldn’t under the rules and he knew that. His speech was intended to bring attention to what is going on, and to give more R Senators time and ammo to gather their courage on the vote. The vote remains to be seen, but he did accomplish getting America to pay attention. Look at us, we’re talking about it.
