WidenI77.org Holds Second Townhall Forum
The grassroots organization fighting the addition of HOT (High Occupency Toll) lanes to I-77 in North Mecklenburg and Southern Iredell Counties hosted its second townhall forum last night in the Cornelius Town Hall.
Leaders of WidenI77.org arranged the public meeting and to a crowd of 62 concerned citizens outlined an updated version of their continued objections to the policy and process being carried out by the state and it’s affiliated partners.
Members staffed a signup table to collect contact information and signed petitions that will be forwarded to elected officials. The group also has an online petition drive set up HERE.
